RACE-SMS Advanced Driving Course

RACE and SMS will be organizing an Advanced Driving Course for those interested. The details will be as follows :

Proposed Agenda :

8.30 am  : Registration
9.00 am – 10.00 am : ADVANCE DRIVING BRIEFING
Topic 1 : Course Briefing
Topic 2 : Theory on Advance Driving
10.00 am – 10.30 am: Tea break
10.30 am – 1.00 pm  : ADVANCE DRIVING PRACTICAL
Practical 1 : Correct in car Seating Position, Pull Push Steering method and Forward Slalom & Reverse Slalom
Practical 2 = Cornering Procedure (braking, Gear Change and Line – entry, apex & exit)
Practical 3 = Emergency Brake and Avoidance Training: ABS at 60, 70 & 80 km/h
1.00 pm – 2.00 pm    : Lunch break
2.30 pm – 3.30 pm    : ADVANCE DRIVING PRACTICAL
Practical 4 = Skid Control Training: Oversteer and Understeer at 30 – 40 km/h
Practical 5 = High Speed Slalom, Lane Change & Swerve (Oversteer at 60km/h)
3.30 pm – 5.00 pm    : AUTOCROSS SESSION
Practical 4 = Skid Control Training: Oversteer dan Understeer at 30 – 40 km/h
Practical 5 = High Speed Slalom, Lane Change & Swerve (Oversteer at 60km/h)
5.00 pm – 5.15 pm    : Certificate Presentation and Closing

COURSE DETAILS:

Course fee  : RM250 (including lunch pack)
Date  : tentatively in March, June, September & December 2009 (4 courses throughout year 2009)
No. of Participants  : Limited to 20 PAX only per course (so, better hurry!!!!)
Target Participants : Open to Public but PRIORITY / EXCLUSIVELY for RACE customer.
Method of Practical : Advance Driving Training (Car Control) and Autocross at the end of the day.
Meeting Location : RACE Performance Center, Glenmarie
Practical Location : Stadium Shah Alam Car Park W2 & W3 (opposite City Karting go-kart track)
Trainer/Instructor : Professional Instructors from SMS Motorsport & Driving (Sutan Mustaffa Salihin – Circuit Racing & Rally Driver and associates)
