The Kuala Lumpur International Motorshow 2006 returns after a 3-year hiatus. Claiming to be the biggest auto show in South East Asia, I for one, did not want to miss the action.

Spent a good 2.5 hours at PWTC (half an hour spent at Proton!) on Thursday night. Faisal of R3 was there to greet the couple of us. I got to get into the Lotus Exige race car that won last year’s MME. Champion car driven by champion drivers! I was in awe! Wish I could actually drive it. What a wonderful car.
I loved the Lotus cars that were there - the Proton designed Lotus APX concept, the Lotus Europa, the Exige S, Lotus RR track special. Nice. I also liked the Gen.2 Zerokit. That front valance, yummilicious! What’s dwelling at the Proton-R3 stand without checking out the merchandise eh? Yours truly salivated over the R3-Hotbits Stage 2 Coilover kit for the SR3. When it is officially available, it should be priced in the vicinity of RM3K. Top value since it also includes pillowball mounts! On my priority list, most definitely.
Won’t go into detail on the KLIMS visit. It was above average. The showcase of cars were pretty good and the babes not half bad (some quite *ahem* yummy). My favourite stands were definitely Honda, Toyota, Proton (bcoz of the Lotus cars + R3) and Ford (which didn’t have much to show but the Focus ST was delicious). The Honda concept cars especially the Moduro concept blew me away. Toyota had some cool concepts as well, the Sportivo being my favourite. I of course looked forward to catching the Nissan Sports Concept in the flesh, and I was definitely not disappointed.
